PROF. YORIHIKO OHSAKI Dr. Eng.
1921-1999

Prof. Yorihiko Ohsaki took office as the vice-president of Shimizu Corporation after his retirement from The University of Tokyo in 1982 and founded Ohsaki Research Institute, Inc. the same year. Aside from championing the fundamental research, Prof. Yorihiko Ohsaki carried out consulting services in the fields of structural analysis and design, as well as, in wide technologically advanced areas which promoted direct implementation of the research findings to the advancement of the society. Furthermore, he encouraged young researchers by providing his direct guidance, which generated many talented professionals as well as educators and researchers at universities.
